The Natural Jewel of the Canary Islands

Lanzarote is a beguiling island in the Canary Archipelago, which will fascinate you with its mysterious atmosphere, golden beaches hugged by the turquoise waters and the contrasting volcanic relief which is filled with craters and rivers of petrified lava. Nature and people who live in an unperturbed harmony, have created this unique and surreal landscape together. Lanzarote also has some extremely beautiful caves , multicolored gardens, palm trees, cactus fields and quiet villages dotted with white houses. All these elements contribute, and help paint the picture of this breathtakingly beautiful Island.

The entire surface of the Island, 803 square feet to be precise, has received the status of UNESCO biosphere reserve. The reason for this is quite obvious. The island is home to almost 300 volcanoes, most of which are dormant. In the Fire Mountains, there are still places with temperatures that exceed 120 degrees. The Fire Mountains have recently become the National Park of Timanfaya, a place which is definitely worth seeing. The major part of the island is covered with volcanic soil, and this has resulted in extremely fertile lands which ensure the production of red wine.

Puerto del Carmen is the most desirable resort for tourists visiting Lanzarote because it has a great variety of bars and restaurants, as well as clean, white, sandy beaches and the best sumptuous villas and apartments. And when it comes to private, luxury apartments, there is nothing to compare to the seasoned Lanzarote1. This company has managed to encompass everything from modern technology, to intimate setting, in the beautiful apartments put at the disposal of the many travelers. Puerto del Carmen has 5 kilometers of tempting beaches, overlooked by magnificent promenades and oceanfront hotels. From here you can take a trip to Arrecife, the capital of the island, which is only 12km away.

Other interesting resorts are the Playa Blanca and Costa Teguise. Playa Blanca was originally a modest fishing village, in the southernmost part of Lanzarote. During the years it has evolved into a refined holiday resorts which delivers relaxation for people who wish to disconnect from the rest of the world. The Dorada beach is an ideal place for such a trip, the Papagayo Playa however, which is part of the protected area, offers the most mesmerizing views.
